Advanced Credit Union Accounting

This course is delivered over a thirteen-week period, two evenings a week.  The course material covers a wide variety of subject areas and are designed for all credit union staff and volunteers.  Participants will be awarded a University of the West Indies certificate on successful completion of the course.  Topics will include:

  • History and principles of co-operative philosophy

  • Credit administration

  • Role and functions of elected committees

  • Role and functions of the Registrar of Co-operatives

  • Elements of credit union accounting

  • Collections

  • Industrial relations
