Annual General Meeting

The 2005 Annual General Meeting of the Barbados Co-operative & Credit Union League Ltd. was held on Saturday 29th October, 2005 at the Accra Beach Hotel and Resort.

Among the meeting's highlight was a brief visit by the Board members of the Caribbean Confederation of Credit Unions who were on the island for one of their Board meetings.  President Christopher Samuda briefly addressed the audience and introduced the members of their Board.

Elections were held for three (3) vacant seats on the Board of Directors.  Sisters Lynette Holder and Novaline Brewster were elected for 3 and 1 year terms respectively and Bro. Adrian Griffith was re-elected for a second three-year term.

It was noted that for the first time in the League's history females were significantly represented on the Board of Directors.  Each of the newly elected Board Members are currently serving on the Board of Directors of their respective credit unions.
